The Oldest Christian People - ograabe - 10-10-2008 October 10, 2008 George Lamsa, who was born in Kurdistan in the late 19th Century, was a cradle member and held to a lifetime personal association with the Church fo the East. He received his higher education from Anglican schools in Turkey and attended the Episcopal Virginia Theological Seminary in the United States. In collaboration with the Episcopal historian, William Chaucey Emhardt, in 1926 George Lamsa wrote a detailed and information history of the Church of the East in a book entitled The Oldest Christian People, William C. Emhardt and George M. Lamsa, reprinted in 1970 by AMS Press, Inc., New York, NY. Here is a list of the Chapters: I. THE REMNANT OF THE ASSYRIANS II. ASSYRIAN TRADITIONS III.
