In the Aramaic Tanakh, is "ha satan" a person, or just another word for an advesary? Im having trouble figuring out whether Satan is mentioned in any OT scripture as an individual person, and not just a term. There are a lot of misconceptions about scripture that supposedly refers to him, but doesnt.

Hi Rungold,
"Satana" is a adjective meaning "adversary" and not necessarily a personal name, anyone can be a "satana."

The most direct reference to Satan in the Tanakh is in Job chapter 1. He is called "Ha Satan" (THE Adversary). Akhi Paul was right that "satan/satanas" simply means "adversary" and that anyone can be an adversary. However when you see "THE adversary" it is refering to the prince of darkness, the evil one, who definately a personal being.
