Thanks for that Joseph! I hadn't noticed that the names mentioned in Zekharyah were also in the list of descendants in Luke 3, plus Zerubavel and Shealtiel. I had only taken the names in Zekharyah to be representatives of all types of people in Israel - i.e. priest (Levi), prophet (Nathan), king (David) and ordinary person (Shimei). But there is clearly more to it than that.
