How to find errors - trettep - 07-05-2005

What has occurred to me is that God knew that His inspired writings would be omitted, tampered with, added to, etc... But what we have is a way that has been present all along to determine the Truth. The way to do that is to make sure that both of the Covenants are in Harmony with each other. For example, we know there was a Lamb and we know there was Jesus. We know that there was Abraham (type of the Father) going to Sacrafice a Son. The OT fortells what would take place in the future and the NT confirms or fulfills those things. A good example is the Godhead in Heaven. In the OT we have two rooms in the Temple - The Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. These two rooms represent Jesus and the Father. You can't get into the Most Holy Place unless you come through the Holy Place. Notice there is not three rooms so we shouldn't look at the Holy Spirit as another person in the NT. This is an example of how we can determine the Truth with a thorough knowledge of both Covenants.
