"prayer direction" in Aramaic & Hebrew - simeon78 - 05-26-2005

Shalom all,

What's the Aramaic & Hebrew word for "prayer direction"?

Thanx.

- Paul Younan - 05-26-2005

"Direction" as in "teaching", or "direction" as in "east and west?"

- simeon78 - 05-27-2005

As "east and west".
Thanx.

Hi Simeon,

"direction of prayer" in Aramaic would be "ur-kha de slotha"

Thanx a lot Paul, or should I call you Mr. Younan?

Now, how to say "our direction of prayer is the east" in aramaic?

Thanx...

Hi Simeon,

In Aramaic it's "Urkha de'Slothan hay be'Madenakh-ay"

A question dude,

Is 'slot', often understood to mean prayer, also mean 'communion, linking together, joining'...this sort of thing?
