Isn't it that Jwhtykdtd is ambiguous and can also refer to "her" purification? "Their purification" makes no sense of the Mosaic Law where the woman - not the man - had to be purified. There is a Greek varaint here too, so this may well be an important split word.
No, the "Jwh" ending is 3rd-person plural.

"Their purification" refers to both the baby and the mother. The baby was considered unclean for a period after birth.
