Shlama all--

After more than a year of waiting I can finally break some great news...

I have found a publisher for RUACH QADIM, and paperback and hardcover editions of this book will be available by September 2004! This is a true miracle from YHWH--THE PUBLISHER CAME TO ME"! <!-- s:onfire: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/onfire.gif" alt=":onfire:" title="On Fire" /><!-- s:onfire: -->

For those of you who may not be aware, RUACH QADIM is my attempt to show Peshitta originality for all 22 books in the Eastern Canon, and also offer some intriguing linguistic and historical evidence for the "Western 5" as well.

RUACH QADIM also contains an extensive section debunking Trimmisms such as Old Syriac Primacy (no shock to you veterans there!) as well as reliance on Dutillet and other forms of Hebrew Matthew.

Finally, I have also taken a great deal of time in piecing together the original history of the Nazarenes as well as their theology, and an extensive discussion of NT transmission trends is also provided. I actually have four scenarios: Papias, or an Aramaic original is badly traaanslated into several Greek "families" (for the Gospels, Acts, James, 1 John, 1 Peter and Hebrews); Maran Atha, or explaining a clear targumming process of Aramaic letters into Greek at the assembly level (for the other Epistles of Paul); Ichabod, dealing with the possiblity of a lost (and longer) Nazarene Jerusalem canon and how it was last seen in the direction of Rome (for the Western 5 of 2 Peter, 2 and 3 John, Jude and Revelation); and finally Ex-Nihilo, exposing more "Trimm-isms" for the frauds that they are.

This is completely updated with the best scholarship that has come from this forum in the past year as well, along with old favorites that continue to have an impact in both Nazarene and Christian circles (The Gowra Scenario, Old Syriac as Evangelion d'Mephareshe, etc.).

Stay tuned!
showe ltobe habr Andrew!

I will definitely get a copy of your book if it is available at Borders Singapore.

Whatever you write, please do not be hostile towards Greek New Testament as they were translated into Greek by the early disciples the best they could and to me it is sacred in that sense. Also I don't want to see books being written to refute your book by those who are pro-Greek.

I hope tha publisher is a respected publisher and not a publisher that is known for publishing new age kind of books.

All the best to you!
Thank you both, akhay Abudar and Dan...

Just a note about the publisher...they are a house that specializes in Messianic and Nazarene Jewish titles. Ironically though they are located in Malta, right near the Vatican!!! They do no New Age stuff whatsoever.

I don't believe, to answer your point Akhi Dan, that I knock the Greek at all--certainly not any more than anyone else has done so on this very forum. I believe that Greek NT is like the LXX, a hugely important translation ( or should I say, translations). The LXX though, while it sheds a lot of light on ancient Hebrew, nevertheless also bears testimony to its Semitic master, and so does the Greek NT. The Greek NT also was not done until very late in the first century (I believe), so while its redactors were "early followers", I don't see them as original disciples. Second to third generation though--students of students who learned from the apostles--absolutely, but not first generation. And, as I make clear in the book, the Greek preserves much of my best evidence for Aramaic originality. I therefore respect the Greek--I just don't think it was first.

The fact is there are thousands of books out there that support an original Greek NT, regardless fo what I write. The fact is also that I don't need to write and come to the same conclusions that the majority have either. Books that "refute" me will be there no matter what, even if RQ never came out at all. And they will come out afterwards too, you can bet on it, Mel Gibson movie or not.

Finally, my publisher does have distrubution in Singapore, land of my beautiful wife Jaye, I might add. I don't know whether that includes Borders (it might), but the book can be shipped to locally Dan by the distributor there, if that is okay.

Hope this helps!
Thats awesome andrew! Will you be able to order this book at your average local bookstore? By lets say special order? Well let me know...
Congrats to you Akhi Andrew.

Wish you the best success on getting out the word.
