Watch the trailer VERY carefully. What do you see?

Shlama,
Rob
Aramaic Estrangelo font, baby! <!-- s8) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8) -->

Wow - how did that happen? Is our message getting out?

Thanks for the wonderful link!
Akhi!

Did you check out the title on the sign? It reads in Aramaic "Yeshua d'Nasrath, Malka d'Yehudaye"!
Yes, and you have to admit, that's a preety cool script! Notice the older form of the daleth proclitic (with the yud).

Could you make out the text of the scroll (with intermarginal scribal notes), Akhi?

Also, too bad this flick aint in Aramaic! <!-- sSad --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/sad.gif" alt="Sad" title="Sad" /><!-- sSad -->

Shlama,

Still this movie looks freaking awesome! :-)

I am GOING to get this DVD set!

Akhay,

The scroll is a direct replica of this image on my website:

[Image: aram4.jpg]

It's an Aramaic Lectionary from about A.D. 550. in the Pierpont Morgan Library New York, N.Y.

Akhi Rob - pause the movie when they show the scroll, and then make it "Full Screen" - you'll notice it's the exact image!

heheheh <!-- s:biggrin: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif" alt=":biggrin:" title="Big Grin" /><!-- s:biggrin: -->

It doesn't just appear once either. Look higher on the page <!-- sConfusedatisfied: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/satisfied.gif" alt="Confusedatisfied:" title="Satisfied" /><!-- sConfusedatisfied: -->

I'm guessing that this manuscript was "just for effect" because it's rather... repetitive.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got it from your webpage, akki :-)

Now how about that Paul ! <!-- s:biggrin: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif" alt=":biggrin:" title="Big Grin" /><!-- s:biggrin: -->

I like it! Good to see your site is doing well for others also in such items as this!
Shlama Akhay,

I just received the "Gospel of John" on dvd and found it "theee" best movie on the life of Meshikha that I have ever seen ... and I've seen most of them. These guys did a great job on the film. I was afraid it was going to be one of those low budget, second rate acted types typically associated with a "literal, verse-by-verse" Gospel movie. A couple supporting actors were a bit stiff but for the most part, the main crew was really sharp.

I'm going to have to pick up a copy......The best.....until, of course, Passion comes out! <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile -->
.... Yeah Akh .... the best thus far ....

Passion is gonna be awesome but for a movie where using the DVD you can go to any chapter and verse of the Yukhanan's karazutha .... its great!

There's also a scene where paleo Hebrew is used when the Sanhedrin and Preeshey take some notes.

Shlama Akhi Rob:
I'was trying to see the track, but I have a very bad dial up connection and it was impossible (even with the "small, dial up" option. They don't have the option of downloading the track (as I did with the Passion of Mel Gibson)...
Any way, Akhi Rob, besides this... I have a question for you (btw, long time ago...) it's about the quote of Lk 19,26 (or par). This is one of the "difficult to understand" phrases of Our Lord, ??How do you interpret it?
If you prefer you might use my e-mail (I don't need an internet direct conexion for that):
