If you would please, please ask the good ole' Doc if he can explain to me why, if Old Scratch is more "Semitic" than the Peshitta, then why does it simply transliterate the Greek medical term for "Dropsy" ("Hudropikos") in Luke 14:2, while the Peshitta contains the Aramaic description for the disease?

Isn't this because Old Scratch was a revision of the Peshitta to bring it closer in line with the Western Greek text? The Greek text reads "Hudropikos" - exactly what the Old Scratch transliterates.....an obviously Greek word.

Is it any wonder anymore why Old Scratch was "scratched off", and the bibliography of "Saint Thekla" was written over it?

Because it was, like Trimm's theories, JUNK?
