Apparently in the Greek of Philippians 3:8, the word translated as "dung" is actually equivalent to our modern day "S" word. The Aramaic says zabala. Does this word have the same force as the Greek word skubala does? I found this pretty shocking.

I knew what dung was, but this particular word was considered quite vulgar.
