Which one is older? and which one is more precise/concise
Also any other older finds since?
:

Others have more info than I...but what I have learned is that the Yonan is the older, if the carbon 14 is right on the Khabouris, which is said to be a faithful copy of a mid-5th century Manuscript; which most likely was itself a copy of the 1st generation of Aramaic NTs. I have read that the Yonan Codex is not complete, in its current form.

There are a number of other Eastern Peshitta copies in the British Museum, which are said to date to the 5th century, with one of them being the oldest "dated" copy of the New Testament of any language.

Stephen Silver has compared a test portion of the Yonan and Khabouris...and found them to be identical. This is true of the Eastern Peshitta Manuscripts, which all are said to have near uniformity of text. Even the BFBS/UBS 1905/1920 Text (which has the Western Peshitto readings in a few places, is near word for word identical with what is found in the Khabouris, with some more "we"s and some words that are compound in the Khabouris, being separated in the BFBS/UBS edition, it being said to be a critical text, culled from about 80 Aramaic copies.

The Aramaic Scriptures agree with themselves almost in every place, even the Eastern and Western versions.

Now why do you think that is?

I think it is because the Aramaic speaking Apostles and assistants, have sent the source text around using, e-mail a feature which was still in development those days
