I was listening to a teaching from St. Peter & Pauls Parish, not sure which person was speaking, when they said that "we fast on Wednesday and Friday, because on Wednesday Jesus was arrested and on Friday He was crucified"....

Is this what is taught, and why the fasts are done? Was Jesus arrested on a Wednesday?

Is that what was said? Was it arrested or agreed to be betrayed?

Arrested...but maybe he got that wrong? I am trying to confim what is taught. Why is there a fast on Wednesday?
