Shlama,

Smith's Compendious Syriac Dictionary has very strong synonyms for the Aramaic word for "usurping or assuming authority over" a man.
The letters are LAMED-MEM-MEM-RESH-KHET-WAW with MEM-RESH-KHET as the root. Under the Aphel verbal conjugation it means "to venture, dare, be rash, heady, headstrong, presumptuous [in a good or bad sense]. It's in the Infinitive which strengthens it even more.

1Timothy 2:12 - for unto the wife to teach [Lamlophu, to dogmatize.] I permit not, neither to be authoritative [Or, daring.] over the husband, but to be in quietude. (J. W. Etheridge from Aramaic)

1Timothy 2:12 - for I do not allow a woman to teach, or to be assuming over the man; but let her remain in stillness. (Murdock)

1Timothy 2:12 - I do not think it seemly for a woman to debate publicly or otherwise usurp the authority of men but should be silent. (Lamsa)

Bro. Larry

1Timothy 2:12 - But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. (KJV)
