For those who don't know Hebrew or Aramaic, but want to learn them. Here's a word for the day.
?????? (Aleph Beith Daleth) - ?????? (Alap Beth Dalath).
It means to perish or be destoried or lost.
And here are some Biblical examples where the word is used:
And it shall be, if you surely forget ???? your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I warn you solemnly this day that you shall surely perish (??????)???. Deuteronomy, 8:19.
And when he came to his senses, he said: How many hired servants are now at my father's house, who have bread enough, and I am here perishing (??????) with hunger. Luke, 15:17.
For the sun rises in its heat, and dries up the herb; and its flower falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes
(??????): so also the rich man withers in his ways. James, 1:11.
I hope you found that interesting. <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s -->
