shlomo lkulkhun,

I've been trying to the find the "Diatessaron in Arabic", but all I can find is a copy of its translation in English. Would any have access to the Arabic manuscript? Or can anyone direct me on how to obtain a copy of it?

tawdi,
keefa-morun
Shlama Akhi keefa-morun,

I found a good link for you. It has both the Arabic and Latin in two separate pdf downloads.......

By the way, I've also heard of a Persian translation. I didn't know if that would be useful to you or any of your colleagues.

shlom lokh akh Larry,

This is a gold mine! I'm going to post it on the site (both the Arabic and the Latin), so that the thread titled "The Diatesseron's Peshitta Pedigree" can be documented with this evidence....great find brother Larry!

OMG what a great blogsite!!! Did you guys check out this page: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://sepehr.mohamadi.name/?p=72">http://sepehr.mohamadi.name/?p=72</a><!-- m -->, I've been looking for the Hebrew Tanakh & Aramaic NT in Arabic script for months, for my planned Muslim outreach & apologetics ministry! And he/she even created transliteration tables: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://sepehr.mohamadi.name/?p=53">http://sepehr.mohamadi.name/?p=53</a><!-- m --> (Hebrew) and: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://sepehr.mohamadi.name/?p=60">http://sepehr.mohamadi.name/?p=60</a><!-- m --> (Aramaic), this is fabulous!
shlom lekh kht Christina,

If you want to have the complete transliteration that includes Arabic and English, then have a look at this link, it is the one I created:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.beith-morounoye.org/transliteration_table.pdf">http://www.beith-morounoye.org/translit ... _table.pdf</a><!-- m -->

And these lessons:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.beith-morounoye.org/syriac/lesson1.pdf">http://www.beith-morounoye.org/syriac/lesson1.pdf</a><!-- m -->
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.beith-morounoye.org/syriac/lesson2.pdf">http://www.beith-morounoye.org/syriac/lesson2.pdf</a><!-- m -->

And the practice reading books have an Arabic lexicon:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.beith-morounoye.org/syriac/index1.html">http://www.beith-morounoye.org/syriac/index1.html</a><!-- m -->

The index page in Arabic:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.beith-morounoye.org/syriac/index4.html">http://www.beith-morounoye.org/syriac/index4.html</a><!-- m -->

I hope this helps!

Shlama okh Abudar,

Thank you for the pdf files, I'll add them to my archive, howz your translation of Isaiah going btw?

Speaking of stuff in Arabic script, howz about making the Khabouris Codex in Arabic script too? Akhay Stephen, Lars, do you think this is posssible? It'll make KC even more accessible and it's the same alphabet anyway so it shouldn't be difficult to create a compatible font. Whaddaya think?

Shlama Christine:
Unfortunately the Arabic Alphabet will not work in a (V1.1) TTF format because it contains 28 (actually 29) letters and the letter Samekh is non-existent. To "fold the glyphs" into a TTF isn't a problem but the actual ordinal designation of each and every letter must coincide with (V1.1) so that the letters appear in the same places when the font is used. To do this would make the Arabic illegible. A legible Peshitta "transliteration" into Arabic is not possible in my opinion.

Shlama,
Stephen

No Problem! You're Welcome!

I'm still working on the translation, but it has been temporarily put on hold while work on two priority projects. But I definitely want to complete it.
