Shlama all--

In the next few days you will see more and more info put up about Mari. Right now one cool landing page is there at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.aent.org">http://www.aent.org</a><!-- w --> and more will be rolled out shortly. This will be the portal to take orders for Mari soon, though still not at liberty to give a firm date yet. Let's just say Mari is in the printing pipeline and the press releases and final materials---yes we added one more feature about three days ago--are being processed.

This is a big week for me, both physically and possibly spiritually. Now at least you can check <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.aent.org">http://www.aent.org</a><!-- w --> 24/7 to see it get put together and fully functional. Stay tuned!

My Brother Andrew,

Maybe not much longer now!

Congratulations on your website!

You know how much that my heart is invested in this project.

Heck, it's like waiting for my own son to be born!

But in this case, it's The Son's own language, FINALLY come to us all.

I'm so very excited for you, and for Baruch and Shali, as well!

"Congratulations" seems such a small thing to say.

But I had a little part in Mari too, which I shall NEVER forget!

My heart is with you, you know that I love you, and I thank Alaha that I live in such a time as THIS!

I'm here, if I can help in any way. Just let me know.

Shlama in Maran Yeshua
Shlama Akhi Albion

I thought of holding back a little longer and showing it all at once, but I just couldn't help myself. Besides which you will seeing that scroll motif a lot in Mari, and I wanted to preview it.

I have run so many apsects of this project but this is Baruch's area now. I respect his timing though I am also chomping at the bit to say more. It is looking like I'll be at liberty in a few days but I have to give Baruch his time. He just signed final contracts with the printer this afternoon after approving their layout and cover last week. We are moving at a decent clip.

The only other thing I wanted to say is that we have settled all the format at pricing and unit pricing issues. We are working now to see about promotions and such and will announce that package when we can too.

You have indeed contributed to Mari on many levels and have truly been indisppesible to us all. I do all the Mari related stuff now with you centrally in my mind, and hoping of course other great folks here will like it too.

More to come....

Shlama all--

Final prep still going on but here is the first official description of Mari, from <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.aent.org/home">http://www.aent.org/home</a><!-- m -->. I should point out that "Aramaic English New Testament" (AENT) is still called Mari/PEACE, but Baruch decided for reasons of promotion on the web to also add this general descriptive title as well. It has to do with how many "hits" it will get and such. Since Baruch has only designed about 100 of these websites in the past, I guess I have to leave that to him! The formatting and images have not come through here, but the text as Baruch has written it is as follows:

ARAMAIC ENGLISH NEW TESTAMENT

???My beloved, while I take all pains to write to you of our common life, it is needful for me to write to you, encouraging you to maintain a conflict for the faith which was once delivered to the Set Apart believers.???
Yehudah 3

If Y'shua and all the Apostles spoke Hebrew and Aramaic didn't they also write in their native language? Although the West has developed many religious ideals according to a Greek primacy, Greek was the vehicular not the vernacular language of Y'shua and his Apostles. Additionally, the West has put much emphasis on the teachings of the Greek based "post-Apostolic" founders of the Church, but the fact is that very few Christians have plumbed the depths of the original teachings and the very Words of Y'shua and his Apostles, until now. The Aramaic English New Testament (AENT) is the most definitive Aramaic to English translation that has come forth in nearly 2,000 years. Not only does this Aramaic based New Testament Bible render the Ancient Aramaic in a way that is easy for every English reader to understand, but it investigates nuances, poetry and hidden codes of the New Testament that until now have only been available to Hebrew and Aramaic scholars.

Regardless if the reader is of Jewish, Messianic or Christian background the AENT will become an important reference resource. For Jews who do not subscribe to Y'shua as Mashiyach (Ben Yoseph), they will discover a world of provocative ancient Jewish thought that is rarely discussed in Jewish circles. For Messianic Jews there are numerous ancient Aramaic terms and definitions that are presented with Hebrew cognates from the Tanakh (Old Testament) that puts much light on difficult or controversial verses. For Christians there is a wealth of insight and discussion on topics like the Melchisedec priesthood, the Acharit HaYamin (Latter Days), Grace, Trinity, Virgin Birth, Feminine Attributes, Judaizing, Legalism, the Name of Jesus, the origin of: Christmas, Easter, Sunday, as well as insights into Spiritual Anointing, the Rapture and much more... in over 1700 detailed footnotes and 350 pages of appendix materials.

How is this translation different from all others? It is different because of WHO translated it, WHAT the base Aramaic text is, WHERE it was translated, WHEN it was translated, WHY it was translated and HOW it was translated. In other words, this Interlinear Bible is VERY DIFFERENT from all others, so much so that some are fearful that it may not be "the way it's supposed to be...".

Andrew Gabriel Roth is a mature Netzari Jewish scholar who is one of the world's foremost Aramaic Primacists. Roth has never been on the payroll of any religious institution, nor has he demonstrated a propensity to bolster either religious tradition or institutions. As an independent Netzari scholar he works closely with Paul Younan, Raphael Lataster, Steven Silver and many others to scrutinize every verse, indeed every word within its original context and meaning. Andrew Gabriel Roth has invested over a decade into the production of this AENT which clearly reveals the Netzari Faith to an English speaking audience.

The Aramaic text used in the AENT is the most original autograph that modern scholars know of at time of publication, most agree that the best text to translate from is also the most original. When Greek New Testaments were going West, Aramaic texts were rapidly proliferating in the East, however this is a marked contrast between the texts themselves. The Aramaic texts were maintained by scribes who had great reverence for each word, indeed each letter, the same cannot be said of many Greek translations. No two Greek texts agree to the extent that over 360 Aramaic texts agree within the Peshitta family. The reader will discover that although the Khabouris Codex has very minor differences within the Peshitta family (these differences are well footnoted) the accuracy is still breath taking. The base text is extremely trustworthy and has been reproduced with acute accuracy for nearly two millennium. Roth also discusses the chain of custody of these ancient Aramaic New Testament texts and the scholarship pertaining to these texts throughout history.

Where a translation is produced is of utmost importance, the AENT was produced within a global community, not in a seminary or under the influence of big business that requires "substantive changes" to the text to win copyright awards. The AENT was translated in a place of unbiased truth and although the reader may find some verses awkward in flow there is very good reason for this. The AENT is a side by side Interlinear that puts English against the Aramaic text line by line, where the reader can easily investigate each word and verse for themselves and judge the accuracy of the translation.

The timing of the AENT could not be more crucial. The Khabouris Codex has been raising awareness of the Eastern Peshitta as the oldest and most original New Testament verses on earth. It wasn't until recently (late 1990's) that many scholars began to investigate the claims of the Aramaic Primacist community. The AENT does not visit age old arguments of Aramaic primacy, this has been amply addressed in a proliferation of other publications. The AENT simply provides the reader with access to hundreds of ancient understandings that until now have been unavailable to most English speakers.

We must consider why the AENT has come forth now, for such a time as this. For those who are actively monitoring world events and comparing them to prophetic demarcations there can be little doubt that humankind is travelling into the Acharit HaYamim or the Latter Days. In addition to many prophetic insights that are revealed in the body of this translation, there are also very specific Appendixes that deal with the Prophetic calendar. Roth has done a masterful job on "Wheel of Stars" which investigates the very Ancient Hebrew calendar and accurately brings it right into our modern day. For those who are thinking about the implications of Mashiyach Ben David coming to earth in the near future, the conclusions are sobering to say the least.

The methodology of how a translator works is key to the end result. Roth references every available Aramaic text known to the scholarly world and provides hundreds of detailed footnotes that discuss many variations. Not only does Roth discuss the choice of words of various translators but also his decision making process, this opens the door for the reader to understand the complexities of making a translation.

Now, the serious Bible student can easily check these sources for further personal and group study, for those who are simply curious about how this New Testament Bible is different from all others they will not be disappointed. There is something in the AENT for everyone that will touch their hearts and souls and help prepare each soul for the return of Mashiyach.
Dear Andrew,

I Found ONE TYPO: It SHOULD BE: "Stephen Silver", NOT "Steven" Silver.

Hope that this helps...................Albion the typo hunter. <!-- sSleepy --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/sleepy.gif" alt="Sleepy" title="Sleepy" /><!-- sSleepy --> <!-- s:lookround: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/lookround.gif" alt=":lookround:" title="Look Round" /><!-- s:lookround: -->
To Andrew, may God bless you for your work.
I am eagerly waiting your translation to be released, so I can buy it. I live in australia, and not many people know about the aramaic translation. I do by the grace of god, sometimes teach in my church, and our leader, likes the aramaic. Pray for me, sean, that I can point more people to the most accurate translation of the bible.

Shlama all--

First to Akhi Sean, thank you, and I will pray for you too!

Second to Albion, do NOT worry. Baruch is writing the code and changing things right now . Shali had a little trouble getting on too, but I showed her another way and it was succesful. So before you worry Akhi Khabiba, try this:

1) Go to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.aent.org">http://www.aent.org</a><!-- w -->.
2) Use your mouse to go in the middle of the scroll graphic until the "digital hand" comes up.
3) When you see the digital hand, left click.

This should take you to the website without problems.

Please bear in mind that we are NOT processing orders at the moment. When we are ready I will send that link, but I don't even have that yet.

Baruch is a web programmer. That's what he does. Some folks can get there directly as I did and others need this extra technique. You are NOT being hacked.

Shlama all,

I should also point out that except for the graphics the full text of <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.aent.org">http://www.aent.org</a><!-- w --> is what I pasted. There will be NO issues ordering Mari when the time comes.

Hi, Andrew!

I'm wondering about the wording "the most original autograph." Wouldn't "manuscript" be a better choice than "autograph"?

-Doug "Whitey" Jackson
Shlama Akhi Doug,

That was Baruch's writing and his choice. I think he goes to some pretty good lengths to clarify what he means though, such as here:

The Aramaic text used in the AENT is the most original autograph that modern scholars know of at time of publication, most agree that the best text to translate from is also the most original.

I think that is a fair statement in terms of Peshitta Primacy. It is not saying the mss was signed by apostles but that it is the most intact version of their teaching that has survived into modern times. Of course I also believe the "autographs" and the Eastern 22 are at a thought-concept level one and the same. "original mss" also sounds a bit odd because Khabouris, like all mss is a COPY, though a very ancient one. I might word that sentence of Baruch's differently though and these things are even now being revised, so we will see what the final form takes. For now though, let me also draw your attention to this phrase:

No two Greek texts agree to the extent that over 360 Aramaic texts agree within the Peshitta family. The reader will discover that although the Khabouris Codex has very minor differences within the Peshitta family (these differences are well footnoted) the accuracy is still breath taking. The base text is extremely trustworthy and has been reproduced with acute accuracy for nearly two millennium.

I already told Baruch it should "millennia" there, and that Stephen Silver's name is not spelled right, but you see my point. He directly talks of "very minor differences" and "acute accuracy", but not perfect letter for letter transcription as "autograph" might otherwise imply.

Hope this helps!
